Botanix was at Brau Beviale 2006 as part of the Barth-Haas Group promoting its advanced hop products for brewing. Botanix and Joh. Barth & Sohn again organised twice-daily tasting sessions to demonstrate the development of light stable beers using downstream hop products and showed how this could successfully be done with a commercial lager beer. As part of the tasting session the effect of hop aging (HSI values) on flavour, aroma and bitterness profile was also demonstrated.
Botanix also launched its new Natural Hop Antifoams for use in brewing. Lipohop K ® is a natural hop antifoam for use in the kettle to prevent over-foaming and Lipohop F ® is a natural hop antifoam emulsion for use in the fermenter where it can increase useable capacity by foam suppression.
