IKE - ISOMERISED KETTLE EXTRACT
Purpose More efficient provision of bitterness and hop character by replacement of hops, pellets or extract in the kettle.
Composition Carbon dioxide extracted soft resins and essential oil of hops. IKE contains iso-alpha-acids in the form of the free acids. Use As a replacement of cone hops, pellets or extract in the kettle. Expect an improvement of approximately 50% in utilisation over that of pellets or extract. Because the alpha-acids are already isomerised, high bitterness utilisation will be achieved almost irrespective of the time of addition, allowing flexibility in the control of hop aroma.
Packaging Normally available from Botanix in 200Kg steel drums. Other sizes and packaging by weight of iso-alpha-acids are available.
Storage Store in unopened containers at a temperature of 25°C or less.
