HOP EXTRACT – CO₂ EXTRACT

Purpose  The convenient provision of bitterness and hop character by replacement of hops or pellets in the kettle.

Composition  Carbon dioxide extracted soft resins and essential oil of hops. Hop Extract retains the aroma and bittering potential of the hops from which it is made. For further information on hop varieties, please see the Hop Variety Data Sheets on the Barth Haas Group Website: Datasheet

Use  As a direct replacement of cone hops in the kettle. For efficient provision of bitterness, the Hop Extract should be added to the wort at the beginning of the boil. Aroma varieties can be added late in the boil to achieve the maximum contribution to hop character

Packaging  Normally available from Botanix in 200Kg steel drums. Other sizes and packaging by weight of alpha-acids are available.
