This is a high-flow version of CO2 plant 6 and can extract up to 300 bar and 70 oC. This plant provides the ideal method for scale-up R&D or small-scale production of material requiring supercritical CO2 extraction. Typical applications include the extraction of larger (>250 Da) or more polar compounds than are possible to extract under liquid conditions. Examples of products include sesquiterpenes, diterpenes, alkaloids and the natural antioxidant carnosic acid that is found in rosemary or sage.
